Outlook Mail Access / Delegation Options

  1. User Options:

The users themselves have the ability to grant others’ ability to see and control
their mail file and calendar.  See “Outlook - Setting Delegation Rights to your personal mail file”

  2. Administrative Options:

Through the Admin Console of O365 IT has the ability to set more specific
control over someone’s mail file

The Primary Mail owner (ie: Supervisor) wants to grant control over his/her mail file to
and Administrative Assistant.

We have the option to grant them:

FULL ACCESS:

Admin can create, delete and organize e-mail and folders
Admin CANNOT read encrypted mail intended for Primary
Sent e-mail is stored in Admin’s Sent folder AND in the primary's Sent folder (IT Needs to set this intentionally via powerscript)

SEND ON BEHALF:  (if Full Access is selected - Send on Behalf must also be selected)
Admin sends e-mail from Primary mail file and it appears as “From: Admin on Behalf of Primary”
(You can select SEND ON BEHALF without granting Full Access)
