CD Viewer - Installing CD viewer on Windows 10

 

CD Viewer runs on an older .NET Framework in order for CD Viewer to work

 

 

 

1) Login as local admin

 

2) Go to the Start button and type edit group policy or gpedit.msc

 

3) In Local Group Policy Editor - Go to Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - System (Specify Settings for optional component installation and component repair) .  This will be on the right side of the screen

 

4) Double click Specify Settings for optional component installation and component repair to open the new text box

 

 

5) In the new text box choose Enabled option and check the box Download repair content and optional features directly from Windows Update instead of Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)

 

6)  Then press the Apply button and Ok Button

 

7) Reboot the PC

 

8) Log back in as local admin and go to Control Panel

 

9) Uninstall a program and choose the option Turn Windows features on or off

 

10) Check the box .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) then press the OK button.

 

11) Choose the option Let Windows Update download the files for you

 

12) The files should start to download.  It will take a few minutes to download and install.

 

13) Restart the PC and log back in as local admin

 

14) Then install CD Viewer
