How to Update Tableau and Tableau Prep Builder

 

Login as local admin

 

Tableau

1) Go to Tableau.com

2) Choose Tableau.com

3) Have the user enter their Tableau Credentials

4) Choose Tableau Desktop

5) Under Quick Links section choose Download Tableau Desktop

6) Choose the Most recent version by clicking on the down arrow of the most recent version. It should be up at the top of the screen.

7) Then click Download Tableau Desktop (xxxx.x.x)

8) Then choose Windows or Mac based on the OS of the user

9) The file will download then run the file. This will take several minutes to install

Tableau Prep Builder

While still logged into Tableau.com

1) Choose Tableau Prep Builder

2) Have the user enter their Tableau Credentials

3) Choose Prep Builder

4) Choose the Most recent version by clicking on the down arrow of the most recent version. It should be up at the top of the screen.

5) Then click Download Prep Builder (xxxx.x.x)
6) Then choose Windows or Mac based on the OS of the user

7) The file will download then run the file. This will take several minutes to install
