This software is a freeware alternative to Capture Perfect for scanning pictures of officers into Content Central
1) Run the software as a local admin
2) The software will install on the PC.
How to use the software
1) Click on the black down arrow next to the word Scan and Click on the option New Profile (This part only needs to be done once the profile has been set up.)
2) In the Profile Settings text box Enter new the profile name under the option Display name:
3) Select the option TWAIN Driver
4) Choose the scanner by clicking on the button Choose device
5) In the Select Source text box choose the name of the scanner (Ex: Canon DR-9050) then click on the button Select.
6) Then click on the OK button.
- Once the Profile has been setup insert the pictures into the scanner.
- Click the Scan button and choose your new profile
- The pictures will scan and will be scanned into the program
- Then click on one of the pictures and click on the button Image then select the option crop.
- Then click on the top left corner of the picture and drag around the perimeter of the picture to edit the black out of the picture.
- Repeat the three steps above for the rest of the pictures.
- Once all the pictures have been cropped, go to the option Save Images.
- Choose the file type as a JPEG and choose your file destination to where you want to save your pictures.
- All the files will be saved and then the user will import the pictures into Content Central
