How to change calendar invites without bothering people
What exactly does that mean?
Let's say that you created a meeting and invited Paul, Debbie and Alex.
When you clicked send all three of these people were sent an e-mail asking them to respond to the meeting invite.
If they accepted a Calendar Entry was placed on their Calendar and Notifications are likely now in place.
If they declined the invite, they will not get notifications and probably do not want to be bothered further in regards to this specific meeting.
You are all set, correct?
NOPE!! You forgot to add Jane to the invite list!!!
However, you would really rather not bother Paul, Debbie and Alex again when you invite Jane.
A. It might confuse them - they may think this is another meeting; or even become uncertain whether or not they accepted in the first place.
B. If they declined the original invitation they may think you are pestering them.
Fear not!
If you add Jane correctly, ONLY Jane will receive the new invitation.
By "correctly" I mean to use the Outlook calendar to make the meeting adjustment.
When you create meeting invitations you can do so in both Teams and in Outlook. Both methods will place the meeting on both your Teams and Outlook calendars.
You can also adjust the meeting in both Teams and Outlook.
I STRONGLY SUGGEST that you make these adjustments using Outlook RATHER than Teams as Outlook offers an option that Teams does not.
When you open the existing meeting via your Outlook calendar to ADD Jane to the Required or Optional attendee list
The Send button changes to "Send Update"

When you click the Send Update button a new option window will appear (that does not appear when using the Teams calendar)

If you wish to include the existing attendees (so they know that you have added Jane) you can select the lower option. Otherwise choose Send updates only to added or deleted attendees so that ONLY Jane will receive the new e-mail.
IF YOU MAKE THESE TYPES OF ADJUSTMENTS TO MEETINGS VIA TEAMS:
You will not have this option and all of your invitees will receive another invitation e-mail.
