Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. Microsoft Exchange is currently busy. If this message is still displayed in 30 minutes, contact your Exchange administrator.

We are not certain what causes this - however it is reminiscent to oldschool Outlook .pst corruption

Fortunately the local Outlook client is simply a "replica" of the O365 web Outlook.

Sometimes - Uninstalling the Local O365 client completely and then reinstalling will resolve any local issues.

The first step to take is to check the web version of Outlook to see if all of the expected data is there and correct.

If it is - we are golden - the local client just needs to be replaced.

HOWEVER, sometimes local data and profile settings on the local pc are not completely removed from the local install when uninstalling O365 - and when the apps are reinstalled - the problems remain.

Next steps - be certain Outlook is installed...

Blow out the local profile: (Delete the Outlook profiles highlighted below)

Open Control Panel:

1. Open Mail (Outlook)
2. Profile - Click on Show Profiles
3. Remove any existing Profiles
4. Add
5. Enter full e-mail address ie: john.tate@usc.salvationarmy.org

Launch Outlook - this specific issue should be resolved.

THIS APPLIES TO FOLDERS AND CALENDARS
