How to open Successor folders in Outlook on a Mac
Local Outlook Client
1) Switch to old Outlook on Mac
2) Outlook > Outlook >Settings > Accounts > Advanced (Button) > Delegates
3) Under Delegates tab go to Open these additional mailboxes then click on the (+) below
4) Search for the person's name that was successor to the position then press the Add button
5) Then Press OK button
6) Now the successor folders should appear under the previous successor's name
** These successor folders can only be opened in the old version of Outlook for now (6/29/2023)
** You can open shared folders from the web version of Outlook please below
Web Version of Outlook
1) Go to office.com and login with your Microsoft365 credentials
2) Click on the Outlook icon > Go to the Folder section on the left side of the web version of Outlook
3) Right click on the Folders section and choose the option Add shared folder or mailbox
4) Type the name of previous successor who granted and it should auto populate the email address of your previous successor
5) Once selected then click on the Add button
6) Their name now should appear on the left side under folders and now you should be able to see all the folders with the emails inside of the folders that you were granted permission to
