Mac - How to fix Spotlight when files are no longer searchable

1) Go to System Settings > type in the search field: Spotlight Search
2) In the Siri and Spotlight area go to the bottom and click on Spotlight Privacy button
3) A privacy window will appear and click on the + sign then go to the locations section and click on the name of your mac and add the Hard Drive then click on the new pop up window and click OK button
4) Click on the Spotlight Privacy button and then select the Hard Drive then click on the - sign then click Done.
It will take about an hour to create a new index in the Spotlight feature
