How to install UPS WorldShip

  1. 1)         Install WorldShip onto the PC

    b          Go to the website: https://www.ups.com/ca/en/help-center/technology-support/worldship/downloads.page

                         a. ® 7 and higher).  It is about a 555MB file

  1. 2)         If Applicable replacement PC/Reimage or SQL Server Update: if not skip to Step 3 -Type ODBC in the command prompt or Search field of Windows

     a.         Go to the System DSN Tab

     b.         Click on the Add button

     c.         Click on SQL Server and click on Finish

     d.         Ask Territorial Finance Systems Administrator and/or Citrix Administrator for the Server Information

     e.         Put in Server information and make sure that database defaults to Trade.

     f.          Test the connection to make sure that the connection makes to Database


3)         Make a backup of the database on from the original in UPS WorldShip Support Utility

4)         Type UPS WorldShip Support Utility in the search field

5)         In UPS WorldShip Support Utility

              a.         Double click on Database Maintenance and click on the Backup button.

              b.         Click on the Browse button where to save the backup (Recommend the user’s Q: Drive)

              c.         Then click on the Backup Button

6)         To import backup on the new PC

7)         Go to Search button in Windows and type UPS Worldship Utility

8)         Go to the Data Maintenance icon (Double Click)

9)         Click on the Restore Button

10)       Click on the Browse button for the backup

11)       It will take 5 to 10 minutes to Restore the backup onto the PC.
